Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an initiative-taking individual with a mechanical engineering background to be based in the Denver, Colorado office to support mining projects in the planning and execution phases of projects and to help augment a team of Mechanical Professionals. The Mechanical Engineer will be working as an integral part of the team that is expected to provide the following responsibilities:Job Summary/ Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform mechanical engineering design and analysis for mining and industrial projects, including pumps, tanks, piping systems, and related equipment.</li><li>Develop engineering calculations and technical reports to support design decisions and clearly communicate results.</li><li>Support early-stage design activities, including trade-off studies, PFDs, P&amp;IDs, equipment sizing, and facility layouts.</li><li>Prepare and contribute to detailed design deliverables, including equipment and piping layouts, specifications, and construction documents.</li><li>Conduct technical evaluations, including bid analyses, vendor submittal reviews, and shop drawing reviews in accordance with applicable codes and standards.</li><li>Perform pipe stress analysis and ensure designs meet project, regulatory, and industry requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver work on schedule and within budget, while providing guidance to junior engineers as needed.</li></ul>
