This role supports critical manufacturing operations, including SMT and related production processes, and works under the technical guidance of a Lead or more senior operator. Work is periodically reviewed for compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.</div><div></div><h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h3><div>The following duties are representative of the role; other duties may be assigned as business needs require:</div><ul><li>Perform semi‑routine machine setups and operate assigned production equipment in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.</li><li>Execute production tasks using process sheets, drawings, and written or verbal instructions from supervision.</li><li>Operate computer consoles and production software associated with manufacturing equipment.</li><li>Use basic measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify product quality and conformance.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance and report issues, defects, or unsafe conditions promptly.</li><li>Follow standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety guidelines at all times.</li><li>Support continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and efficiency initiatives as directed.</li><li>Comply with all import/export and ITAR requirements, consulting with appropriate personnel as required.</li></ul><div></div><h3>Qualifications</h3><div>Education and Experience</div><ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education or vocational training.</li><li>Typically requires 0–4 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.</li><li>Ability to read drawings, use measuring tools, and perform basic shop math.</li></ul><div>Language Skills</div><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.</li></ul><div>Mathematical Skills</div><ul><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.</li></ul><div>Computer Skills</div><ul><li>Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.</li></ul><div></div><h3>Other Skills and Abilities</h3><ul><li>Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 standards.</li><li>Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.</li><li>Familiarity with ERP or production software systems is a plus.</li></ul><div></div><h3>Other Qualifications (Site/Program Specific)</h3><ul><li>U.S. Person status required for access to ITAR‑controlled technical data.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance, if applicable.</li><li>Ability to travel domestically or internationally, if required by program needs.</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
