<div><p>Zoox has embarked on a highly ambitious journey to develop an autonomous mobility solution built from the ground up. As our Vehicle Operations team develops and scales, so do the challenges of understanding operational data, ensuring effective communication between development and operations, and informing key decisions to scale the organization successfully.</p><p>In this role, you will lead the team of Zoox Vehicle Operators who operate our L3 test vehicles. As a Team Lead, you will lead a team of vehicle operators to ensure they understand and execute short-term and long-term targets. You will lead a team of field experts on tools, features, and functions related to Vehicle Operator workflows, coordinating and streamlining processes that support Vehicle Operations at Zoox. Leaders at Zoox are hands-on with their team, working with &amp; alongside them daily, leading by example to ensure all software and hardware tests are executed to Zoox's high standards. You will also work closely with other leaders within the Vehicle Operations organization, assisting and interacting with multiple teams across the company, including Program management, strategy, vehicle engineering, and go-to-market teams. Our managers are disciplined team players who believe in doing everything it takes to accomplish the mission safely.</p><p>This position requires extensive travel, 3-4 months at a time. Travel will include regional, national, and potential international markets we are expanding to. Weekend and evening travel may be required depending on project needs. Travel expenses are covered per Zoox’s travel policy. The company provides per diem, lodging, and transportation arrangements. Travel time is compensated in accordance with company policy.</p><p><strong>Shift</strong>: <br>Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm</p><p><strong>Travel:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be willing to travel 100% of the time.</li><li>Frequent overnight and multi-month trips required.</li><li>Must maintain a valid passport or Real ID, and a valid driver's license.</li></ul></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><div><li>Support vehicle operators in day-to-day operations, upholding a safety-centric, inclusive, and open communication culture.</li><li>Complete all administrative tasks concerning team management, including, but not limited to, timesheet approval &amp; schedule validation, and conduct written and oral performance feedback with direct reports at regular intervals.</li><li>Work closely with other Team Leads and Program/Project Managers within Vehicle Operators to ensure their team stays aligned with Zoox's overall goals.</li><li>Become a knowledge expert on Zoox's proprietary software related to Vehicle Operations and motivate and mentor direct reports to execute and deliver to Zoox's high standards.</li><li>Interact with contractors assigned to Zoox to answer questions, provide information, and ensure they understand and execute their job assignments.</li><li>Conduct testing every week with a priority on safety to ensure you stay up-to-date with the current state of Vehicle Operations.</li></div></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>7+ years of professional work experience in a cross-functional operations and product-based environment</li><li>2+ years of people leadership experience</li><li>Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality</li><li>Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly master proprietary software tools and troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues.</li><li>Problem Solving: Ability to act as an escalation point, making quick decisions to keep operations moving when technical or logistical blockers arise. Proven ability to problem solve and improve operational efficiency with a proactive mindset and resourcefulness</li><li>Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management, and explain technical issues</li><li>Proactive mindset and resourcefulness. Possessing an “Extreme Ownership” and growth mindset.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets</li><li>Clean Driving Record: Excellent driving history. A valid driver’s license with zero points on your record.</li><li>Ability to work on-site at your assigned location for all scheduled shifts</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business management or related field</li><li>3+ years of experience with autonomous vehicles, or a similar safety-critical industry </li><li>Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic service environment.</li><li>Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process optimization methodologies.</li><li>Experience working with cross-functional teams on go-to-market initiatives</li><li>Familiarity with fleet management software.</li></ul><br>
