AECOM is actively seeking a talented, energetic technology-minded Geographic Information System (GIS) professional for immediate employment in the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton Installation Geospatial Information &amp; Services (IGI&amp;S) office as a seconded employee. The GIS Specialist is a full-time AECOM employee that will report to the Associate Vice President &amp; GIS Sr Manager in the Technology Services Group and will support our United States Marine Corps (USMC) client within the Environment Business line. This position will lead a team of GIS Specialists supporting the MCB Camp Pendleton IGI&amp;S Program with GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development, and technical support. A successful candidate will work independently and in close coordination with the IGI&amp;S manager and their staff to develop, deploy and support GIS across the installation.  The position requires a professional with project management experience, a solid foundation in GIS, team leadership, project communication, and a commitment to quality.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Perform data conversion, migration, and exploitation activities using advanced geospatial processing techniques</li><li>Gather, review, and report on technical requirements to meet project goals and implement quality assurance procedures</li><li>Prepare project plans to successfully execute assigned work</li><li>Work with junior staff to ensure quality in all work products and development technical quality review procedures</li><li>Work directly with government staff to plan for and execute mission objectives</li><li>Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards</li><li>Maintain expertise in existing and emerging GIS related software and technologies</li><li>Create and maintain GIS data in an ArcGIS enterprise environment</li><li>Apply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills</li><li>Communicating and collaborating with the project manager, project team, and client stakeholders to understand and document system/solution requirements</li><li>Research and compile data from various sources</li><li>Develop visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS Pro, or Portal for ArcGIS to effectively communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders</li><li>Organize, document, and communicate status updates to program leaders and relevant project teams</li><li>Provide excellent team leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills</li></ul>
