This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electrical hardware for our next-generation spacecraft. You will work closely with experienced engineers across various disciplines to bring innovative satellite systems to life. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for spacecraft avionics, including areas such as flight computers, power distribution, guidance and navigation, sensors, actuators, and communication systems.</li><li>Schematic capture and PCB layout</li><li>Bring-up, testing, and validation of newly designed hardware.</li><li>Collaborate with software engineers on the integration and testing of hardware and software components.</li><li>Build and test early hardware prototypes to evaluate design concepts and mitigate risks.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, systems, and production teams to ensure successful integration and manufacturability of hardware.</li><li>Contribute to the creation of design documentation, test procedures, and reports.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.</li><li>Mentor other engineers and push the team to new heights in your respective domain</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Prefer, but don’t require B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>3-8 years of experience in hardware engineering, preferably with exposure to electronic systems (relevant internships and academic projects will be considered).</li><li>Familiarity with electronic components, circuits, and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).</li><li>Expert level knowledge in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, Cadence/Orcad).</li><li>Understanding of microcontrollers and common communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).</li><li>Experience with embedded systems, embedded programming concepts and comfortable in a Linux development environment</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>A strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul><h2>Nice-to-have Skills</h2><ul><li>Familiarity with environmental testing considerations (e.g., vibration, thermal, EMI).</li><li>Exposure to scripting languages like Python for test automation or data analysis.</li><li>Experience with power electronics for space applications (e.g., batteries, GaN switching converters, load switch design)</li><li>Experience with FPGAs, SoC, or embedded linux platforms</li><li>Leadership experience in clubs or on small teams</li><li>Previous startup experience or experience working in a fast paced environment</li></ul><div><h2><strong>Salary</strong></h2><ul><li>The salary range for this role is $186,000 - $202,000, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
