This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electrical hardware for our next-generation spacecraft. You will work closely with experienced engineers across various disciplines to bring innovative satellite systems to life. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for spacecraft avionics, including areas such as flight computers, power distribution, guidance and navigation, sensors, actuators, and communication systems.</li><li>Participate in schematic capture and PCB layout with the guidance of senior engineers.</li><li>Assist in the bring-up, testing, and validation of newly designed hardware.</li><li>Collaborate with software engineers on the integration and testing of hardware and software components.</li><li>Build and test early hardware prototypes to evaluate design concepts and mitigate risks.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, systems, and production teams to ensure successful integration and manufacturability of hardware.</li><li>Contribute to the creation of design documentation, test procedures, and reports.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Prefer, but don’t require B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>0-3 years of experience in hardware engineering, preferably with exposure to electronic systems (relevant internships and academic projects will be considered).</li><li>Familiarity with basic electronic components, circuits, and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).</li><li>Exposure to schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, Cadence/Orcad).</li><li>Understanding of microcontroller basics and common communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>A strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul><h2>Nice-to-have Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience with embedded systems or basic embedded programming concepts.</li><li>Familiarity with environmental testing considerations (e.g., vibration, thermal, EMI).</li><li>Exposure to scripting languages like Python for test automation or data analysis.</li><li>Participation in relevant student projects or clubs (e.g., robotics, aerospace).</li></ul><div><h2><strong>Salary</strong></h2><ul><li>The salary range for this role is $144,000 - $164,000, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
