This individual will be responsible for regional market, permitting and interconnection research. this job requires a person who can act independently to complete discrete task assignments with resources provided by KCE and the position supervisor. the position requires minimal travel to the KCE Office in Albany/Brooklyn and to project locations to meet with local officials.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Permitting Research &amp; Support for New York</li></ul><ul><li>Compile information from project areas to understand local opinions and attitudes to battery energy storage/renewable energy development.</li></ul><ul><li>Assemble information from the permitting of energy storage from other projects in New York.</li></ul><ul><li>Support permitting efforts as needed for project in development.</li></ul><ul><li>Regional Market Research for New York and England</li></ul><ul><li>Assemble information from approved transmission upgrade projects in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine.</li></ul><ul><li>Compile research to support long-term regional strategic planning.</li><li>Support community outreach event for projects located in New York.</li><li>All other duties as required.</li></ul> WORK EXPERIENCE &amp; REQUIREMENTS:  <ul><li> Development experience within the respected region is a plus.</li><li>Ability to travel. Driver's license preferred but not required.</li><li>Familiarity with project management including scoping projects, estimating costs, and creating schedule and budgets using management software such as Excel, MS Project and Smartsheet.</li><li>Microsoft Office products experience.</li><li>Experience with GIS software.</li><li>Experience with land acquisition is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of local and state-level permitting processes. Prior legal experience is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of grid-scale batteries, renewable energy, energy markets, and electrical engineering is a plus.</li><li>Proven experience delivering time-sensitive projects.</li><li>Ability to work in a small team.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.     </li></ul> Physical Requirements:  <ul><li>Prolonged periods of working on a computer</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds</li><li>Must be able to climb or balance</li><li>Must be able to stop, kneel, crouch or crawl</li><li>Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors, accommodations can be provided.</li></ul> </div>
