In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through various record-to-report activities, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, supporting our global operations. Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all RTR activities.</li><li>Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper accounting treatment and supporting documentation.</li><li>Perform complex account reconciliations (e.g., intercompany, balance sheet accounts), identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.</li><li>Analyze financial data and prepare various financial reports, including variance analysis and management reports.</li><li>Collaborate with other finance teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) to ensure smooth data flow and accurate financial statements.</li><li>Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements within the RTR function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS/local GAAP requirements.</li><li>Mentor and support junior accountants within the RTR team.</li></ul> Job Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>5+ years of progressive experience in an RTR or general ledger accounting role, preferably in a shared service center or multinational environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP accounting principles.</li><li>Proven experience with month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).</li><li>Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Fluency in English and Germany language skills are a plus.</li></ul>#LI-MS3<h1>About us  </h1>We’re a global, 1000-stong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
