General Ledger Management</h3><ul><li>Journal Entries (JEs): Preparing and posting manual journal entries for transactions that aren't automated ( adjusting entries).</li><li>Accruals &amp; Prepayments: Calculating and posting accruals (expenses incurred but not yet invoiced) and prepayments (expenses paid in advance, like insurance or rent).</li><li>GL Master Data: Creating and maintaining the Chart of Accounts (adding or blocking GL accounts).<br> </li></ul><h3>2. The Month-End / Year-end Close </h3><ul><li>Closing Schedule: Managing the timeline to ensure all modules (AP, AR, Fixed Assets) are closed on time.</li><li>Trial Balance Review: Reviewing the Trial Balance for errors, unusual balances, or misclassifications before the books are locked.<br> </li></ul><h3>3. Balance Sheet Reconciliations</h3><ul><li>Account Reconciliations: Substantiating balance sheet accounts (Bank, Taxes, Accruals, Equity) to ensure the ending balance is correct.</li><li>Open Item Management: Investigating and clearing old items sitting in suspense accounts or clearing accounts.<br> </li></ul><h3>4. Fixed Assets (FA) Accounting</h3><ul><li>Capitalization: Recording new asset purchases (Additions).</li><li>Depreciation: Ensuring the monthly depreciation runs correctly based on the asset’s useful life.</li><li>Disposals &amp; Impairments: Removing sold/scrapped assets from the books and checking if assets have lost value.<br> </li></ul><h3>5. Intercompany (IC) Accounting</h3><ul><li>IC Invoicing and Matching</li><li>Eliminations: Preparing data so that internal "sales" between branches are canceled out during consolidation (so the group doesn't look like it's making profit from itself).<br> </li></ul><h3>6. Statutory &amp; Financial Reporting</h3><ul><li>Financial Statements: Preparing the P&amp;L (Profit &amp; Loss), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.</li><li>Management Reporting: Providing "Managerial Reports" (like the ones you mentioned for your audit) with commentary on budget vs. actuals.</li><li>Tax Reporting:  supporting VAT, CIT, and other statutory filings.<br> </li></ul><h3>7.
