The Business Systems Analyst will have the opportunity to work directly with the Finance departments across Brookfield’s business groups while being supported by financial business analysts and technical resources within the team as well as other teams within Technology Services.The candidate will support, enhance and automate Treasury processes by helping the Finance teams leverage information systems and/or by proposing process changes.Business processes in scope<ul><li>Cash management including daily positioning, bank reconciliation and forecasting</li><li>Loan management including intercompany and credit facilities</li><li>Accounting for debt and derivatives</li><li>Derivative lifecycle</li><li>Financial risk management</li></ul>We are looking for someone who can propose solutions, perform process enhancements and help deliver them to the end users.Responsibilities cover the full lifecycle to provide Treasury systems solutions including requirements gathering, report building, software design and configuration, recommending system controls, master data management, system automation and operational support.The team’s approach is to automate support tasks as much as possible and focus their efforts on value adding activities. The candidate will be encouraged to challenge the status quo and improve business processes as well as the team’s internal processes.The team’s backlog consists of initiatives that are reviewed and prioritized weekly. Their complexity and effort required is varied.Example of some deliverables<ul><li>Support initiatives including process-re-engineering, process automation, systems implementation, integration projects with banks/3rd party vendors</li><li>Onboard Banks for bank connectivity</li><li>Onboard Banks for payment processing</li><li>Automate and manage multiple interfaces</li><li>Payment modernization from SWIFT MT to ISO 20022</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<ul><li>2-5+ years of experience in a related role supporting a Treasury Management System with preference given to FIS Quantum experience</li><li>Degree in IT/Computer Science, Finance or related discipline</li><li>Basic/Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server, including advanced queries and stored procedures</li><li>Ability to communicate with business and technical resources in their language</li><li>Proven experience in solving business problems including solutioning, implementation and production support</li><li>We are looking for a self-motivated individual who takes pride in the quality of their work</li></ul>Skills (Nice to have)<ul><li>Prior end-to-end experience with application version upgrades or roll-ups</li><li>Python or scripting languages (BAT, VB, CMD, PowerShell, SQL, Bash etc)</li><li>Power BI/SSRS reporting</li><li>Basic understanding of global networks infrastructure and troubleshooting</li><li>Knowledge of SWIFT network and/ or ISO 20022 standards</li><li>Knowledge of Bloomberg’s ecosystem and interfaces (Terminal, Data License, etc.)</li></ul>Brookfield welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
