Water Utility Technician

Meade, FL. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of sewer collection systems, conveyance piping, lift stations, valves, miscellaneous fittings, and a water distribution system.  Essential duties are, but not limited to: <ul><li>Performing all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned to by the project’s preventive and corrective maintenance and repair program.</li><li>Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.</li><li>Performing all work to produce an end result which meets all goals and objectives set by project management.</li><li>Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.</li><li>Performing all work to produce an end result which meets all goals and objectives set by project management.</li><li>Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system.</li><li>Responds to and resolves customer complaints.</li><li>Performs record keeping/data entry.  Record daily reading of equipment and processes.</li><li>Cleans and maintains facilities buildings and grounds.</li><li>Repairs yards following maintenance procedures.</li><li>Monitors inventory of parts supplies and chemicals.</li><li>Communicates with co-workers on processes and job activities.</li><li>Assists in the inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes.</li><li>Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system.</li><li>Occasionally assists in the location of utility lines.</li><li>Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Programs</li><li>Repairs and maintain distribution lines, sewer lines, manholes and lift stations.</li><li>Responds to emergency situations. </li></ul>  Schedule:Monday – Friday, 7.00 – 3.30pm. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
