Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</p><p> </p><p><strong><span>You Will:</span></strong><span> </span></p><ul><li><span>Primary responsibility for the daily operational oversight and support of U.S. import shipments, including the interaction with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and provide the information necessary to properly document U.S. import shipments for the timely and compliant movement of goods and materials into and out of the U.S. Assist with troubleshooting any clearance issues in the U.S and in the country of destination.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Primary responsibility for handling the daily information inquiries from U.S. Customs Brokers to enable and facilitate the timely and compliant clearance of U.S. import shipments of products and materials</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Support the Trade Compliance team with developing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the necessary policies, internal controls, procedures, training, audit programs to meet its obligations with adhering to U.S. and Int'l import &amp; export regulations. Assists with coordinating and monitoring the company's compliance with U.S. Customs and other applicable government agency laws and regulations to minimize the risks of penalties and fines due to non-compliance.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Interact with internal systems and partners, and Suppliers, to obtain the necessary information to clear goods for import into the U.S. Collaborate and develop good cross functional working relationships with various internal and external partners</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Provide technical expertise in the areas of: import and export shipment documentation, U.S. and Int'l Harmonized Schedule Code determination, customs valuation, preferential tariff treatment programs (e.g., USMCA, Korea-U.S. FTA, etc.), Country of Origin determinations, U.S. and Int'l import duty rates, trouble-shooting import and export issues, etc.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Support the Trade Compliance team with performing internal import and export compliance assessments and audits, maintaining relevant reporting and KPI's; providing corrective action; follow-up and closure.</span><span> </span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><strong><span>You Bring:</span></strong><span> </span></p><ul><li><span>High School Diploma/ GED</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>3 years of solid experience in a dynamic Global Trade environment, with increased responsibility in import processes</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Solid working knowledge and expertise in multiple areas of import and export compliance such as determination of HTS code, Country of Origin determination, and Free Trade Agreements (especially USMCA and KRFTA).</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>1 year of relevant experience supporting import duty cost savings programs including Preferential Tariff Treatment Trade Agreements (e.g., USMCA), Manufacturing and Export Duty Drawbacks, U.S. HTS Chapter 98 provisions, Foreign Trade Zones, Carnets, etc.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Familiarity with and working knowledge of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 19</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Strong understanding and working experience with U.S. HTS classification and customs valuation, with a good understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and its General Rules of Interpretation (GRI's), World Customs Organization (WCO) Explanatory Notes. </span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Understanding of the Rules of Origin (Preferential &amp; Non-Preferential)</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Working knowledge of U.S. Section 301 and 232 Tariffs, IEEPA Tariffs and U.S. Antidumping and Countervailing duty orders</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Understanding of Incoterms</span><span> </span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><strong><span>Preferred:</span></strong><span> </span></p><ul><li><span>B.A. in International Business, Supply Chain, Customs Management or related field.</span><span> </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) and/or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)</span><span> </span></li></ul></div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
