Responsibilities:<ul><li>Work closely with process development engineers to define design specs/limits to enable robust and reliable manufacturing process</li><li>Interface with equipment and process engineering teams to implement changes to the process of record design</li><li>Create and review concept development, system architecture design, assembly &amp; technical drawings, bill of materials, and specifications</li><li>Create and maintain control drawings for electrodes and cells; maintain SolidWorks PDM Database</li><li>Support pilot and production of final product by troubleshooting process and component problems</li><li>Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for manufacturing processed, piece-parts, BOM. automation equipment, including scope development, prototyping, and fabrication</li><li>Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs</li><li>Ensure deliverables, maintain safe machine design standards, and meet regulatory compliance requirements</li><li>Perform engineering calculations to support design work</li><li>Provide engineering support to Manufacturing, Procurement, and Test Engineering to facilitate transfer of designs to production</li><li>Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors</li><li>Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field</li><li>2-5 years of experience working in engineering</li><li>Mechanical design and documentation using SolidWorks 3D design tools. Experience with additional CAD tools is a plus.</li><li>Hands on, practical engineering and problem-solving experience with a variety of commercial and/or industrial automation projects</li><li>Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products</li><li>Creative problem-solving and managing measured risk</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, stack up tolerance analysis, GD&amp;T, Statistical analysis, DFM/DFA methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques</li><li>Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and clearly</li></ul>
