We seek part time student workers  who demonstrate strong academic performance, engagement beyond the classroom, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in Zoox’s mission.</p><p><strong>Project Overview</strong></p><p>This opportunity is in the area of Robot validation which includes HW/FW/SW validation. PT Student-Workers on this team will have the chance to work on current and new robot platforms.</p></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><p>The "ideal" candidate is someone who can use AI tools to:</p><li style="list-style-type:none;"><ul><li><p><strong>Identify Issues:</strong> Sort through hundreds of real-time data points to find failures.</p></li><li><p><strong>Root Cause Analysis:</strong> Determine <em>why</em> an issue happened using automated tools.</p></li><li><p><strong>Predictive Prevention:</strong> Use data to ensure the same hardware or robotics issue doesn't happen again.</p></li></ul></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Knowledge of Python, LLMs, AI based coding tools, basic principles of electronic HW validation</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Automotive ECU knowledge, tools such as Polarion, Jira, Confluence, Testrail, and robot Verification &amp; validation methods</li></ul><h3>Program Requirements</h3><ul><li>Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S., in a relevant engineering field.</li><li>Plan to return to school after completing the program.</li><li>Available to commit to 6 months 20 hours a week.</li><li>Located in Foster City and able to come in 3X a week.</li><li>Student Worker may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside.</li></ul><br><div>$30 per hour. </div><div> </div><div>This is a contract position and employment for this position will be through a vendor contracted with Zoox.
