We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li>Own the integrated hybrid powertrain verification </li><li>Take the systems engineering inputs of a turboshaft / turbogenerator powertrain system including batteries, motors and other complex mechanical parts and verify the system through test </li><li>Own the verification of the turbogenerator on the test-bench and into the aircraft including the start of the flight test campaign</li><li>Contribute to the design reviews of the turbogenerator in providing expert test and operation knowledge</li><li>Manage suppliers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure verification can happen safely and on time</li><li>Ensure 3rd party stakeholders deliver on-time</li><li>Ensure all verification activities can be performed safely</li></ul>What you’ll need:<ul><li>BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.</li><li>10+ years experience in complex system verification</li><li>Ability to operate quickly and to tight timelines in ensuring testing happens on time and can provide sufficient </li><li>Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding of systems engineering</li><li>Experience with industry-standard tools and operational behaviours for turbine and / or electrical systems</li><li>A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.</li><li>Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives alone and to tight deadlines</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents.</li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains</li><li>Prior experience with turboshafts, turbines and turbogenerators</li><li>Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification </li><li>Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods</li></ul>At Archer, we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent with the skills and leadership needed to grow our business.
