At Hitachi Global Air Power, you’ll be part of a global network that’s shaping the future of industrial power.Summary of the position:The Financial Analyst – Business Unit will provide collaborative support across the business, including but not limited to Sales, Channel, and New Product Development, by transforming data sets into insightful periodic and ad-hoc reports and analyses.Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li>Support business unit and commercial financial analysis, planning and forecasting.</li><li>Provide decision support to Business Unit leaders, including sales, profitability, cost and program development analysis and support.</li><li>Analyze price, volume, mix and cost drivers.</li><li>Perform new product development analysis and support, including overall costs, profitability and ROIs.</li><li>Assist in the development and analysis of monthly results, forecasts and annual business plans.</li><li>Work with sales leadership to process monthly and quarterly Sales Incentive Plan commissions payouts</li><li>Perform ad hoc analysis and decision support on business unit profitability, departmental costs and other performance metrics.</li><li>Prepare other time-sensitive reports as required by Executive Management.</li></ul>Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.</li></ul>Professional experience:<ul><li>1-4 years of experience including previous business unit and/or commercial financial planning and analysis support.</li><li>Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow preparation and analysis.</li><li>Must have the ability to understand and clearly communicate the business and operational implications of accounting results and processes.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with the business leadership team on a routine basis.</li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think independently and make effective decisions.</li><li>Ability to work well in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.</li><li>Able to prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables.</li><li>OneStream experience a plus.</li><li>The ability to manipulate data and build financial models in Microsoft Excel at a proficient level.</li></ul>Additional Comments:<ul><li>International manufacturing exposure a plus.</li><li>SAP experience a plus.</li><li>Power BI experience a plus</li><li>Successful candidate must be able to effectively manage up, down and across all levels of the organization.</li><li>Successful candidate must be able to respond to a fast-paced, results-oriented, rapidly changing environment.</li></ul>Direct reports:<ul><li>N/A</li></ul>The successful candidate is responsible for complying with Hitachi Global Air Power Code of Ethics and related policies.
