As well as being a hands-on support resource the role would include some light managerial tasks.  The role would be varied and suit somebody who has come through their IT support career from the ground up and enjoys the concept of “a little bit of everything”. IT Support roles are often defined on a 1st, 2nd, 3rd line tiering system; this role requires somebody who can work a little at all these levels as well as possessing good managerial / team leadership skills.  Responsibilities <ul><li>Day to day management of IT operation(s). </li><li>Monitoring of KPI’s </li><li>Monitoring of tickets, including escalating where required </li><li>Liaising between the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure, Apps etc.) </li><li>Supporting the wider enterprise IT management team to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and corporate governance. </li><li>Liaising with Teledyne business stakeholder to ensure IT are meeting the needs of the local business.  </li><li>Onsite IT Support: working as part of a virtual IT team to provide customer support, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets). Where a resolution cannot be found then you would be expected to escalate accordingly. <ul><li>By IT support we refer to multiple proficiencies, such as but not limited to:  <ul><li>End users and their equipment.<ul><li>For example, PC’s and Laptops running a Microsoft Windows environment, Printer installation, networking, configuration, and troubleshooting.</li><li>An array of Microsoft applications such as Office, Visio, Project etc. </li><li>CAD applications.</li><li>Mobiles phones (iPhone &amp; Android) </li></ul></li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Ensure compliance of and react to information from Enterprise Anti-Virus and other security tools.   </li><li>Servers, switches, and wireless access points in conjunction with a remote Infrastructure team. </li><li>New user configuration and setup via Active Directory </li><li>The position will be responsible for interfacing directly with the Teledyne employees who have IT problems. This will be done in person, via phone and various forms of written communication (e.g. email, ticketing system and instant messaging).</li><li>Liaising with hardware and software vendors to resolve and related issues. </li><li>Support and maintenance of conference room equipment such as video conferencing systems, conference phones etc.</li><li>Acting as a “point of contact” for day-to-day IT support. Not all incidents will arrive with you via a ticketing platform. The role requires somebody dynamic who can work effectively on the fly responding to requests from multiple angles and subsequently prioritizing workload to achieve the required outcome.  </li><li>Maintain the onsite server room in line with enterprise standards.  Maintain the outlying comms racks throughout the facility.  </li><li>Manage and maintain OU’s within Active Directory including users, groups and objects.  </li><li>Support compliance initiatives such as SOX. You will be responsible for SOX auditing your assigned sites on a monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual basis</li><li>Support for annual IT budgeting for region</li></ul>Project WorkPeriodically project work will be assigned in parallel to day-to-day support responsibilities. Typical projects could include technology refresh tasks such as replacing aging IT equipment, system implementation(s) such as upgrades and/or deployment of new software packages. Other such projects might include facility relocations/expansion and supporting of domain migrations etc.Required Qualifications <ul><li>Computer related Degree/Diploma/Microsoft or any IT Professional Certification and/or equivalent work experience.</li><li>At least 7 years IT support experience.</li><li>High-level server administration and troubleshooting knowledge in physical and virtual environments. For example, adjusting permissions on file shares, monitoring back-ups etc.  VMware environment and Microsoft Server experience.
