<div>To lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure reactive and preventative technical support is provided efficiently and effectively to achieve production targets and customer deliveries. Key responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Supervising a small team of Maintenance Technicians on a 2-shift rotor</li><li>Safely managing risk assessments and COSHH for maintenance team.</li><li>2nd Escalation call for equipment breakdowns.</li><li>Ensuring all maintenance activity is carried out in a safe, timely manner to a high standard.</li><li>Ensuring there is sufficient maintenance cover for production hours and overtime hours where necessary.</li><li>Managing external contractors on site including all relevant documentation</li><li>Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.</li><li>Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.</li><li>Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault finding.</li><li>Advising on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities</li><li>Monitoring machine performance</li></ul>Any other duties as required. Skills and experience required: <ul><li>Qualified to 18th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical.</li><li>Previous experience leading a team.</li><li>Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics</li><li>IT literate and able to navigate systems easily.</li><li>Organised and initiative-taking with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.</li><li>A flexible approach to work and the desire to thrive in a dynamic and exciting fast-moving environment.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Initiative-taking with the determination to succeed.</li><li>UK driving license and be available to support visits to supplier sites.</li></ul> Desirable:<ul><li>Previous experience in an automotive environment</li><li>Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment</li><li>Direct reports </li></ul></div>

YASA was founded on the principle that small, light electric motors would play a growing role in meeting both the strict emissions targets being set globally in a wide range of industries and the requirement for greater efficiency through electrification. The Company was incorporated in 2009 based on a unique patented motor technology invented by the Company’s founder and CTO Dr Tim Woolmer whilst studying for his DPhil at Oxford University.   The unique YASA motor technology is ideal for a range of mobile applications such as hydraulics replacement, power generation, traction and propulsion and hybridisation.  YASA Motors manufactures a range of standard electric motors and generators based on our unique motor topology at our factory and Company Headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.  The YASA-750, YASA-250 and YASA-400 products have been designed to be integrated into customers’ products in a range of markets and industries with minimal application engineering.  In addition to our standard products, YASA has a design and development team dedicated to making bespoke motors for customers for medium-high volume applications.
