This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple domestic and international tax areas, including compliance, reporting, advisory, and strategic tax planning.  As an EMEA Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for:<ul><li>Managing a broad range of direct tax matters across several EMEA countries.</li><li>You will oversee corporate income tax (CIT), transfer pricing (TP), DAC6 reporting, and tax provisioning activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.</li><li>You will also contribute to tax research, analysis, and interpretation, evaluating the impact of regulatory changes and identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.</li><li>In this position, you will play a key role in tax reporting and compliance processes, including the calculation of tax liabilities, preparation and submission of tax filings, and maintenance of accurate tax records.</li><li>You will be involved in tax-related transaction recording, including tax journals and depreciation schedules, and will support tax structuring initiatives related to business operations and potential merger and acquisition activities.</li><li>You will act as a primary point of contact for tax matters within the region, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Legal, and Operations. In addition, you will manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, advisors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring effective communication and alignment on tax matters.</li></ul>Working within the Hitachi Digital Tax Team, you will join a global function that supports Digital Infrastructure, Digital Services, and GlobalLogic businesses. The EMEA tax team is internationally distributed and consists of experienced professionals led by the EMEA Tax Director based in the Netherlands. You will support the director on tax audits, projects, and various ad hoc initiatives, while also independently managing complex assignments and processes.This is a senior specialist role where you will be recognized as a subject matter expert within your area.
