At GEA Digital, the IIoT Chapter is dedicated to transforming industrial operations through cutting-edge technology and data-driven solutions. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our IIoT platform.
As a Project Manager IIoT Platform (f/m/d), you will be responsible for managing the platform enhancement activities, the platform open-source activities as well as for maintaining and continuously improving the systems that support the IIoT platform solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform, enabling seamless integration and data flow between industrial devices and enterprise systems.
Your Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and govern agile development projects for IIoT platform enhancement applying modern project management tools
· Ensure consistent and aligned development architecture design and execution across different GEA business units
· Ensure development follows best practices in all phases of DevSecOps lifecycle and development artefacts are consistently delivered and checked in accordance with IEC-62443-4-1 norms.
· Design & maintain Open-Source Software project governance – build up structures to efficiently govern and manage Open Source projects
· Establish a helpdesk and knowledgebase for IIoT platform operations
· Manage the interaction and communication with level 1,2 & 3 support channels
· Generate and evolve system KPI's to accurately reflect the quality and resilience of the IIoT platform operations
· Drive development and maintenance of documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
· Conduct business process analysis to identify and implement IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
· Work with different stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
Your Profile / Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in project management, platform development and systems engineering, with a focus on IIoT or related technologies.
· Proven track record managing and optimizing systems for performance, cost and usability.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
