Associate, Tunnel Design

We are seeking a talented and experienced Associate, Tunnel Design to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing complex tunnel and underground structure projects, contributing your expertise to innovative infrastructure solutions.

• Develop and manage work plans and design activities for medium to high complexity tunnel projects
• Plan and implement geotechnical investigation programs for tunnel and underground projects
• Perform advanced geotechnical analyses and designs based on investigation results
• Utilize commercial numerical modeling tools, including Finite and Distinct Elements software, for tunnel and underground structure design
• Create and verify Excel sheets for structural and geotechnical calculations
• Provide expert knowledge on soil and rock mechanics and ground-structure interactions to multidisciplinary teams
• Support tunnel proposals with technical inputs, methodologies, and techniques
• Design tunnels using both TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) and SEM (Sequential Excavation Methods), with a focus on TBM tunnel lining design
• Prepare contract documents, technical specifications, design reports, and drawings
• Supervise and mentor less experienced engineers and interns in numerical modeling
• Collaborate with other disciplines, professionals, and clients to ensure project success
