This position requires a unique set of skills and attention to detail, underscoring the multifaceted nature of this role. Transitioning smoothly between responsibilities demands flexibility and a comprehensive understanding of office dynamics.

In this position you will interact and support many facets of Facilities including maintaining day-to-day operations, vendor coordination, new employee set-up. 

FACILITY SUPPORT:

  • Ensure that the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies, from stationery to pantry items. This involves monitoring inventory, placing orders, and stocking supplies. Manage relationships with suppliers and equipment: coffee, tea, condiments, etc.
  • Oversee the maintenance of office facilities, appliances and equipment to confirm that everything is in good working condition. This includes coordinating repairs, managing janitorial services to make sure the workplace is safe and comfortable for all employees.
  • Liaising with external vendors and service providers to establish the office infrastructure is well maintained. Build solid relationships with reliable vendors to provide timely service and high-quality work.
  • New Employee Support: 
    • IT: Assist with onboarding process for new hires, including set-up of Monitor and docking station at workstations, distribution of keyboard and mouse, etc.
    • HR: Coordinate with Property Mgt. to obtain building access card for building and fitness center.
    •  SECURITY: Coordinate with Lucid Security to obtain Lucid Security access card for Southfield suite.

You Bring

  • 2 years of college or higher education in addition to 5 years’ experience in Facilities.
  • Good communication skills, fluent English skills, both verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, including senior management.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, manage multiple projects, prioritize as necessary and leverage resources throughout the organization.
  • Experience in analyzing vendor proposals and quotes with demonstrated competency.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.  Direct experience with CADM and/or space planning systems a plus.
  • proactive with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment
