In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between the simulation and test teams, helping validate complex system models through real-world data. You will be responsible for vehicle instrumentation and executing tests, processing and analyzing data, and ensuring that simulation models accurately reflect physical system behavior. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for someone passionate about electric vehicles, data-driven engineering, and system-level validation, thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.  The Role:  <ul><li>Collaborate with simulation engineers to define validation requirements and test plans for vehicle-level and subsystem-level models. </li></ul><ul><li>Work with the test engineers to execute tests on chassis dynamometers, test tracks, public roads, and thermal chambers. </li></ul><ul><li>Instrument vehicles with sensors and data acquisition systems to accurately capture relevant physical parameters. </li></ul><ul><li>Retrieve, process, and analyze test data to compare against simulation results and identify discrepancies. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop scripts and tools to automate data processing and model validation workflows. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain organized databases of test results, validation reports, and model correlation metrics. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide feedback to the simulation team to improve model fidelity and system performance. </li></ul>   Qualifications:  <ul><li>Excellent communication skills in both technical and cross-functional environments. </li></ul><ul><li>Passion for hands-on automotive engineering and testing. </li></ul><ul><li>Curiosity for learning and finding the root cause of errors or discrepancies.  </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of vehicle systems, including electric powertrains, thermal systems, and HVAC. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with data acquisition systems (e.g., HBM, Hioki, Vector) and vehicle instrumentation and troubleshooting. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to interpret and correlate simulation results with physical test data. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing test data and documentation. </li></ul>  Preferred: <ul><li>Experience with model validation workflows and simulation tools (e.g., Matlab, Simulink, Ansys Fluent). </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). </li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience with vehicle testing or high voltage electrical systems. </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to thermal system modeling and HVAC performance testing. </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with scripting for simulation process automation and data pipelines. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of SAE regulations for BEV testing is a plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in EV powertrain calibrations and automotive thermal controls. </li></ul>  Education:  <ul><li>BS plus 2 years or MS in an engineering discipline. </li></ul> <div><div><div><div>Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div>Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
