The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy in South Boston, Virginia, as a Community Relations Coordinator and become a vital part of our team! This dynamic role offers the chance to apply your business knowledge and human resources expertise while supporting community outreach initiatives at both our South Boston and Bland VA locations. You'll play a key role in recruitment and employee relations, implementing HR best practices, and fostering positive relationships within the organization. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about community engagement and eager to make a meaningful impact.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Build and maintain relationships with community members.

  • Plan, develop, and organize events and volunteer activities to advance company goals.

  • Coordinate community outreach programs and special events to promote our mission.

  • Utilize social media to enhance community relations.

  • Draft and distribute content that highlights the company and its initiatives.

  • Select and disseminate positive publicity materials through various channels.

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of employees.

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with corporate values.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in community relations, HR, or a related role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with event planning and volunteer coordination.

  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of corporate social responsibility practices.
