Job Purpose
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for shaping and executing Hyliion’s communication and brand strategy to elevate company visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support business growth. This role leads the development of strategic messaging, manages media relations, drives integrated corporate communication initiatives, and ensures consistent, compelling communication across all internal and external channels.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance Hyliion presence and brand positioning.
- Lead internal and external corporate communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effectiveness across all channels.
- Craft compelling corporate narratives, executive messaging, and stakeholder communications.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key media representatives, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
- Organize press briefings, interviews, and corporate events to build and maintain positive brand visibility.
- Work closely with product management and sales teams to understand market requirements, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Coordinate creation of high-quality content, including press releases, case studies, presentations, and collateral that clearly communicate product value and differentiators.
- Develop and execute strategic social media initiatives to enhance brand visibility, increase engagement, and foster community interaction.
- Manage content calendars, create engaging social media content, and coordinate cross-functional content contributors.
- Analyze social media metrics and insights to refine content strategies and optimize audience engagement.

Qualifications include:
- Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in Marketing Communications, Branding, and other related Corporate Communications roles.
- Experience within technology, energy, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated success in strategic communications planning, and brand positioning.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience managing social media and digital communications platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
- Familiarity with investor communications, media analytics, social media management tools, and CRM platforms.
- Experience working with senior executives and external partners. preferred
Role Classification and Working Conditions
This is a salaried, exempt-level position. This position typically works in an office environment; and given the nature of our business is also exposed to operations/warehouses/production environments.
Physical/Other Requirements
- Minimal travel requirements: <10%
