Reporting Analyst

The Role

The Reporting Analyst will work closely with stakeholders of all levels across the business to understand data and reporting needs to support decision-making, service management, and enhance our customer service offerings.

This position requires a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a strong analytical background who will support the transformation of data into actionable insights to drive service improvement and operational maturity.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a reporting platform to centralise data available within the business.

• Collect and organize data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.

• Design, generate, and maintain regular reports that provide actionable insights for senior management.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting and performance measurement tools to track the effectiveness of our services.

• Use data visualization tools to create dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights into service metrics.

• Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests and data analysis as needed.

• Present data and insights to senior management on projects, service performance and business cases for new products and services.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements to reporting workflows.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Previous experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.

• Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Expertise in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, and other similar platforms.

• Understanding of KPI and SLA reporting.

• Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.

• Experience working in the water utility industry, specifically smart metering, would be an advantage.
