The Role
The Reporting Analyst will work closely with stakeholders of all levels across the business to understand data and reporting needs to support decision-making, service management, and enhance our customer service offerings.
This position requires a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a strong analytical background who will support the transformation of data into actionable insights to drive service improvement and operational maturity.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of a reporting platform to centralise data available within the business.
Collect and organize data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Design, generate, and maintain regular reports that provide actionable insights for senior management.
Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting and performance measurement tools to track the effectiveness of our services.
Use data visualization tools to create dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights into service metrics.
Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests and data analysis as needed.
Present data and insights to senior management on projects, service performance and business cases for new products and services.
Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements to reporting workflows.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Previous experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Expertise in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, and other similar platforms.
Understanding of KPI and SLA reporting.
Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
Experience working in the water utility industry, specifically smart metering, would be an advantage.
