Step into a key role as our new Health & Safety Manager and help shape a strong, proactive safety culture across four dynamic wind farm sites in Victoria and NSW. This newly created position offers the opportunity to make a real impact—working closely with our dedicated site teams, you’ll provide expert H&S guidance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement consistent, high-quality safety practices across all locations. This role can be based in Melbourne or near one of our operational sites—Waubra, Mt Gellibrand, or Mortlake—offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Job Description

  • Champion Safety Initiatives: Lead and promote safety initiatives, integrating H&S policies into daily operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to WHS laws, regulations, and corporate H&S frameworks.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement hazard controls for high-risk activities.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver H&S training programs for site teams and contractors.
  • Incident Management: Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring alignment with root cause analysis processes.
  • Audit Management: Plan and manage internal and external audits to confirm compliance.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and review H&S procedures and plans.
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report safety performance data, preparing internal and external reports.

Required Skills and Competencies

You’re a self-driven, solutions-oriented professional with a passion for renewable energy. You have a proven track record of H&S Management. Other requirements:

  • Extensive experience in HSE roles, including liaising with State regulators.
  • Degree or relevant industry experience in a power generation, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of WHS legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence positive outcomes with team members, stakeholders, contractors, and regulators.
  • Willingness to travel as required and obtain necessary certifications
