About the Position:
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for efficiently managing inventory across our distribution network. The position involves analyzing inventory data, monitoring stock levels, and developing strategies to optimize inventory control. The Inventory Analyst understands the role as brand ambassador and provides positive brand experiences to all clients, partners, distributors, and stakeholders. Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position.
As a SOLV4EX team member, a typical week will include the following:
- Analyze inventory data to provide insights and recommendations for inventory management improvements.
- Assist in forecasting demand by analyzing historical inventory and sales data, generating reports, and identifying trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover and reduce excess inventory across the network. Implement strategies to balance stock levels and improve overall inventory performance while maintaining high service levels.
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, focusing on order accuracy and necessity, on-time delivery, and minimizing order delays.
- Monitor inventory levels at all locations, analyze consumption patterns, and initiate replenishment activities to maintain optimum stock levels.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, stockouts, and excess inventory. Provide regular reports to management.
- Regularly analyze inventory data to identify trends, issues, and inefficiencies, and provide recommendations to optimize inventory performance.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, such as procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment of inventory management strategies and goals. Work closely with stakeholders to resolve any supply chain issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support inventory accuracy through regular audits, data validation, and reporting discrepancies in the system.
- Provide analytical support to ensure accurate and timely reporting on order status, inventory levels, and stock availability.
- Maintain good working relationships with all internal/external customers, handling inquiries in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.
The Location: This position is located at the SOLV4EX Head Office in Calgary.
Requirements:
- University or college degree in Supply Chain or a related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- 2 - 3 years of direct work experience in a Supply Chain capacity.
- Strong analytical, interpretive skills and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven data entry and typing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
