About the role 
As an EHS Specialist, you will play a key role in driving Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives that empower employees, reduce risk, and improve workplace safety. You’ll take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting a strong safety culture across our India-based operations. You’ll work both independently and with cross-functional teams to embed EHS practices into everyday business activities.
 
What you will do 
  • Support, develop, and implement EHS management programs that align with business operations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across areas such as job hazard assessments, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, ergonomics, emergency planning, and more.
  • Promote EHS awareness across all levels of the organization, building a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Identify and recommend changes in policies, procedures, and equipment to reduce risk and prevent workplace incidents or illness.
  • Set performance goals for EHS and monitor progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage incident investigations by identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Conduct and lead formal EHS inspections and audits across the campus; support or lead external audits when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards and best practices.
  • Manage industrial and hazardous waste programs, including waste classification, inspections, disposal, and recordkeeping.
  • Deliver engaging EHS education and training programs.
  • Collaborate with local administration, facilities, and lab managers on EHS initiatives and day-to-day coordination.
  • Respond effectively to any non-compliance events, environmental releases, or work-related injuries.
  • Contribute actively to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives and sustainability goals.
What you bring    
  • A bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in EHS or a related field.
  • Experience supporting EHS programs in the semiconductor or a similar technical/manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of global and local EHS regulations and experience in applying them across multiple sites.
  • EHS-related certifications, licenses, or membership in professional associations are a plus.
  • A strong track record of building engagement and driving EHS initiatives in complex, fast-paced settings.
  • Ability to work across teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
