CHEMICAL / MATERIALS ENGINEER

FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, non-flammable, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

Tasks

• You are responsible for designing new and improving existing mineral foams.
• You drive and develop methodologies for the characterization of mineral foams.
• You support the technological transfer from R&D to the prototyping line.
• You actively participate in long-term product/technology planning.
• You track, monitor and report progress and deliverables on running projects.

Requirements

• You have completed a MSc in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• You have gained first work experience, preferably in the development and testing of construction materials or additives for construction materials.
• You apply specialized technical expertise to design, analyze and interpret technical experiments.
• You are team orientated, communicate effectively, work cooperatively, and make a positive contribution to the team environment.
• You are flexible and can adapt quickly to changing requirements to operate successfully in a dynamic working environment.
• We value initiative, you are proactive and can take on tasks independently.
