About Us:
Freedom Solar LLC is a leader in solar energy and branching out into HVAC as a crucial part of our comprehensive approach to energy solutions offerings for homeowners. As part of our commitment to whole-home electrification, we are expanding our Energy Services team to include high-efficiency HVAC systems, with a focus on heat pump technology. We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair high-efficiency HVAC systems, including heat pumps, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency for our customers.

Position Overview:
As an HVAC Service Technician specializing in high-efficiency HVAC systems, you will play a critical role in our mission to provide sustainable, energy-efficient solutions. You will diagnose, service, and maintain residential high-efficiency HVAC systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heat pump systems, in residential properties.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and efficiency assessments on high-efficiency HVAC systems.
  • Work with customers to educate them on system operation and energy savings related to high-efficiency HVAC.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards for all HVAC installations and services.
  • Maintain detailed service records and reports for all HVAC work.
  • Keep detailed records of customer calls and service visits. 
  • Maintain professional rapport with customers and be respectful of their homes and property. 
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners on the job site. 
  • Communicate professionally with FSP office staff. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and support for high-efficiency HVAC systems.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the HVAC division, with opportunities to take on leadership and strategic planning responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • EPA Certification
  • Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and refrigerant systems for high-efficiency units.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail for high-efficiency equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with smart home energy management systems related to high-efficiency HVAC
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
