About the Job

Who we are:
Agworld, part of the Semios group of companies, is one of the world’s leading Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS). Agworld is created for growers, agronomists, ag retailers and many others involved in the business of farming, and enables them to collect data at every level of their operation and share this data with everyone that matters to them. Because they use Agworld, our customers are able to make better and more profitable decisions on a daily basis. Watch this short video if you’re curious to learn more about the impact we have on our clients’ operations.

Agworld was recognized as one of the Thrive Top 50 AgTech Companies for three consecutive years (2018–2020), a prestigious global ranking that highlights excellence and innovation in agricultural technology. Together with our sister companies, we are agricultural technology leaders, dedicated to transforming how food is grown and sustained. We combine deep agronomic expertise, advanced analytics and digital innovation to help the agricultural industry make smarter, more profitable decisions—while safeguarding the future of farming.

Who you are:
You live & breathe agriculture and technology, and are passionate about making a real difference. You genuinely want to help growers and those around them, and are intricately aware of the challenges they face on a daily basis. Our team at Agworld comprises individuals who love agriculture, nothing is more important than knowing your clients - regardless of your role within the company!

As a Marketing Specialist you are at the forefront of Agworld’s Go-To-Market efforts, and play a critical role in showcasing Agworld’s FMIS to the world. You’ll work closely with the rest of the marketing team, the sales team as well as the customer success team, and enable them to achieve their goals through industry-leading and cutting-edge marketing efforts.

From product marketing to sales enablement, and from creating advertising campaigns to gathering critical metrics - you will be well-versed in every aspect of the marketing domain. You know what the team needs to achieve, take initiative, and are able to prioritise and execute. You are able to work as part of a team as well as work closely with other teams, but you are also able to work unsupervised.

What you will do:

  • Product marketing - you will lead Agworld’s product marketing efforts by letting existing as well as potential clients know about all the new and improved features our development team is working on.
  • Events - you will spearhead Agworld’s attendance and participation at events throughout Australia and New Zealand from planning to execution.
  • Metrics - you will be in charge of all metrics that we track as a GTM team. You will gather the data every month and turn this into a comprehensive management brief.
  • Digital advertising - you will be an instrumental part in Agworld’s digital advertising efforts; in Australia & New Zealand as well as in the USA.
  • Help Centre - you will own the help centre and, together with our colleagues in the customer success team, you will make sure the content is continuously optimised.
  • Content - from newsletters to blog articles and case studies, you will assist with content creation as part of a larger team effort.
  • In-field client engagement - from time to time you’ll be visiting clients to conduct interviews and create video as well as photo content.
  • The Rest! It’s impossible to list everything we do in a short list, but you understand this and know that we all have to do whatever it takes to be successful, and no task is unimportant.

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, marketing or related fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing or a related field within an agricultural technology focused business
  • At least 3 years experience in the product marketing of a SaaS product
  • You don’t have a 9-5 mentality. We work hard as a team and we execute on what we’ve agreed on, 100% of the time - no matter what it takes.
  • You are familiar with the AI tools that leading marketing teams use and are comfortable using them in order to speed-up all your daily efforts.
  • A strong understanding of the AgTech industry and the competitive landscape, within Australia and New Zealand is a must. Having experience in the US AgTech market will be considered a strong benefit as you’ll be assisting with digital marketing in the USA, especially permanent crops in California, from day 1.
  • You are based in Perth, or willing to move there, as you’ll be spending at least 3 days per week in the Agworld office to work with your colleagues in-person. You are also available to travel up to 25% of your time as required within Australia to meet with clients or attend conferences / trade shows.
  • Excellent communication, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to both work independently and within a team, as required for the different facets of this job
  • Excellent written skills to aid in the creation of thought leadership material, case studies, help articles, etc.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with ERP systems, farm management software, and GIS tools
  • Prior experience in organising and executing photo and video shoots, and interviews solo in rural locations, without supervision.
  • Prior experience in working with growers in person, in either a sales or customer success role, so you understand their needs and how an FMIS like Agworld can fill these needs.

Salary:

  • Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Benefits

  • Our People: Work with a team that values collaboration in a casual work environment
  • Recharge and Refresh: Benefit from a generous vacation policy and an annual year-end winter break to relax and rejuvenate.
