Job Overview
The Technical Coordinator will support the SCS Consulting Food Safety department and is responsible for coordinating the administrative and technical functions in multiple systems, including Salesforce, work orders, invoices, scheduling client visits, and project management trackers. This position provides technical support on client projects, including the development of HACCP plans, policy/procedures, and food safety specialized projects. The Technical Coordinator role requires knowledge of the relevant standard/scheme(s), regulations, and the food manufacturing industry. This position assists in internal and external activities to keep the team knowledgeable of consulting projects, latest regulations, and industry updates, and focuses on working directly with clients to help build a stronger foundation with the Training and Consulting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Support and Communication
- Manage daily functions and Microsoft Teams communications with clients, consultants, and internal team members regularly
- Manage administrative coordination with clients and consultants
- Assist clients on the implementation of food safety programs
- Assist in the preparation of scoping and work orders, ensuring all necessary details are captured clearly
- Manage client and consultant invoices through initial review, aging reports, and closure
- Organize and maintain client files and documentation meticulously
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly
Audit Coordination, Planning, and Execution
- Support the preparation of policies, procedures, HACCP plans, and other related documents
- Assign and schedule projects with consultants in a timely manner
- Perform GAP assessments and internal audits
- Perform other technical assignments with the support of the technical team
- Attend team meetings and provide status on consulting projects
Operations and Financial Support
- Coordinate with the sales team on confirmed projects
- Track and manage consulting project milestones and project timelines in Salesforce
- Manage inputs into Salesforce and other sales tracking tools to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Manage the project tracker efficiently and effectively
- Identify and develop opportunities to improve processes and create effective solutions
- Support the Director of Consulting in developing and implementing food safety programs
- Support documentation and tracking of the Consulting P&L budget by updating reporting tools
- Review and coordinate weekly financial status updates, reporting, and trackers
- Contribute towards the achievement of SCS's strategic and operational objectives
- Additional tasks as requested by the Director or Vice President
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, Food Safety, or relevant field and
- 2+ years of equivalent work experience in a similar role
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge in Salesforce or related platforms
- Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and database management
- Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the food industry, food safety, quality assurance, etc.
- HACCP and/or any other scheme certifications

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.
Estimated Annual Salary
$68,640 - $70,000
