With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.</div></div>As a Road Supervisor for Citilink Access operated by Via, you will train operators, oversee the performance of operators, respond to emergencies, and manage the delivery of paratransit service in the Fort Wayne area.What You’ll Do:<ul><li>Conduct on-the-road supervision, including regular ride-alongs and shadowing, to ensure driver performance meets service and safety standards.</li><li>Monitor and assess operator interactions and adherence to safety procedures, offering constructive feedback as necessary.</li><li>Develop and deliver training programs for new drivers, including initial, remedial, and refresher content.</li><li>Provide hands-on training in best practices, safety protocols, and service standards to align with Via and Citilink’s expectations</li><li>Conduct proper post-accident and post-incident procedures including acting as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for DOT purposes.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for immediate operational issues, implementing solutions to resolve challenges promptly.</li><li>Operate accessible vehicles safely and courteously to transport elderly and disabled passengers, modeling high customer service standards.</li><li>Service trips as necessary, especially in the case of stranded riders, breakdowns, or other service disruptions. </li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>Possess sound knowledge of the city and an excellent driving record.</li><li>Possess previous supervisory or management experience.</li><li>Able and excited to train paratransit operators.</li><li>Available to be scheduled as per the evolving needs of the role during all service hours and days.</li><li>Able to operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle within standard safety guidelines to ensure public safety</li><li>Must be able to safely push and maneuver more than 400 pounds of weight, such as in assisting passengers in wheelchairs or handling heavy equipment</li><li>Must be comfortable bending down on one knee for extended periods of time to secure wheelchairs and other mobility aids</li><li>Patient, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities</li><li>Able to deal effectively and courteously with all customers and the public</li><li>Hold a valid driver’s license.</li><li>Pass a drug screening, motor vehicle check, physical exam, and criminal background check.</li><li>At least 25 years old.</li><li>Able to apply in person at Via’s offices in the Fort Wayne area</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits<ul><li>The candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills determine the final salary.</li><li>Salary: Starting at $25.25 / hour</li><li>We are proud to offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401K matching, holiday pay, and PTO.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.</li></ul>There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.
