Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive cost efficiency, profitability, and capital effectiveness.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ol><li><strong> </strong><strong>Financial Leadership &amp; Business Partnering</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Act as finance business partner to Plant Director, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain functions.</li><li>Drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights on cost, productivity, and investment returns.</li><li>Lead annual plant budget, quarterly forecasts, and 5-year financial planning cycles.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Costing &amp; Controlling</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Manage detailed shop-wise cost centers (Body, Paint, Assembly, Powertrain, Battery, Utilities and Logistics).</li><li>Implement standard costing, variance analysis, and shop-level cost KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap, labor efficiency, overhead absorption).</li><li>Support SAP CO module (Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, COPA) configuration and reporting.</li><li>Develop and track Cost per unit (CPU) and Cost per kWh for battery assembly.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Operational Finance</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Partner with operations to improve material utilization, energy efficiency, and labor productivity.</li><li>Monitor manufacturing KPIs (throughput, rework, downtime) with financial impact analysis.</li><li>Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives through financial evaluation.</li></ul><ol><li><strong> People Leadership</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Lead and mentor manufacturing finance</li><li>Build financial acumen across plant operations teams.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.</li><li>Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing mindset.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.</li><li>Leadership skills to manage and develop a team.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance.</li><li>15–20 years of experience in manufacturing finance, with at least 5 years in plant controlling</li><li>Prior experience in automotive or EV industry preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing KPIs.</li><li>Working in a greenfield or ramp-up EV plant.</li></ul><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
