Position OverviewWe are seeking a Direct Lending Associate to support the management of a diversified portfolio of performing credit investments, with a primary focus on direct lending strategies. The role will work closely with senior portfolio managers, investment professionals, and risk teams to support portfolio construction, monitoring, reporting, and performance analysis across private and syndicated credit investments.This is a highly analytical, detail-oriented role that provides broad exposure to portfolio management, credit risk, and investor-facing processes within a growing private credit platformPrimary Responsibilities<ul><li>Generate customized client / investor reporting for both internal and external distribution. Assist senior team members in responding to specific client requests.</li><li>Perform portfolio analytics and assist portfolio managers with ongoing allocation and portfolio rebalancing.</li><li>Participate in investment committee meetings, quarterly portfolio reviews, regularly scheduled and ad hoc credit discussions.  Track investment decisions made by the portfolio managers.</li><li>Assist portfolio managers by creating screens for investment opportunities to help facilitate trades.</li><li>Collaborate with sector analysts on underwriting and amendment processes and work with traders to facilitate feedback to bank counterparts.</li><li>Track existing and prospective investment activity across Global Corporate Credit and support the portfolio management function as needed.</li><li>Act as liaison for Global Corporate Credit team to coordinate credit-platform and firm-wide initiatives.</li><li>Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and requests as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>3-5 years of investment banking, capital markets, research, sales and trading, or buy-side experience (areas include Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Restructuring or M&amp;A are a plus)</li><li>Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.</li><li>Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines</li><li>Initiative and ownership of responsibilities – must show a proactive, positive attitude</li><li>Strong interest in Corporate Credit</li><li>High proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Bloomberg. </li><li>Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS is a plus</li></ul>Firm OverviewApollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager.
