The RoleThe position is part of a growing team primarily responsible for the accounting and reporting functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies.Core Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle</li><li>Assist in performing a detailed monthly review of all P&amp;L activity by Business Unit</li><li>Assist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for external parties</li><li>Assist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for management</li><li>Assist with expense allocation close process including reviewing and analyzing all expenses booked, and understanding the related allocation methodologies of these expenses to the management companies</li><li>Assist with employee allocations process</li><li>Interact with different departments in the firm including Deal Team, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning &amp; Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable</li><li>Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes</li><li>Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practice</li><li>Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership</li></ul>What We Value<ul><li>Qualified candidates should possess an Accounting or Finance degree and have 2-4 years of relevant experience</li><li>Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles</li><li>Professional certifications are a plus (CPA or equivalent)</li><li>Big 4 public accounting experience preferred</li><li>Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting preferred</li><li>Alteryx experience preferred</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Candidate should be well versed in Excel and have G/L and reporting experience</li><li>Candidate must possess strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written) and analytical skills</li><li>Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices</li><li>Candidate must possess project management skills in order prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrently</li><li>Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive</li></ul>About Sixth StreetFounded in 2009, Sixth Street is a leading global investment firm dedicated to developing themes and offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth.
