What We're Looking For: The Mechanical Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to HVAC and Chiller specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. This hire will be required to travel to Montreal, Canada for approximately 4 weeks of training, provided by Smardt. What You'll Do: <ul><li>Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. </li></ul><ul><li>Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. </li></ul><ul><li>May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. </li></ul><ul><li>Keeps daily assembly production records. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintains a clean and organized work environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to learn brazing techniques required to weld the joints of copper mechanical parts. </li><li>Other duties as required. </li></ul> What You'll Bring:<ul><li>3+ years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Mechanical aptitude a must.</li></ul><ul><li>Previous brazing/welding experience is an asset.</li></ul> Essential Functions: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
