Interns will perform testing on various laboratory instruments, maintain safe working conditions, and meticulously document their findings. We are looking for team players who are passionate about creating positive change, embrace our values, and challenge conventional norms.<ul><li>Program Duration: This 10-week summer internship runs from mid-to-late May through July, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules</li><li>Schedule: Full-time commitment of 35–40 hours per week</li><li>Housing: Please note that housing is not provided for this role</li><li>Transportation: A personal vehicle is required, as there are no local transportation options to and from the lab</li></ul>Please note that housing is not provided for this internship. We can help by making suggestions for affordable local housing options.Responsibilities<ul><li>Adhere to standard operating procedures for laboratory instruments.</li><li>Prepare samples precisely and record data meticulously in laboratory notebooks.</li><li>Conduct lab safety inspections in collaboration with team members.</li><li>Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and reproducible data from each instrument.</li><li>Analyze, summarize, and effectively communicate results as required.</li><li>Deliver an oral or poster presentation summarizing responsibilities, challenges, successes, key learnings, and recommendations at the internship's conclusion.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, both independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Comfortable handling solvents, acids, bases, and other chemicals while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in a STEM program at an accredited college or university.</li><li>Strong interest in laboratory instruments and data analysis.</li><li>Familiarity with lab safety protocols and OSHA regulations.</li><li>Previous experience with material characterization and laboratory procedures is advantageous.</li><li>Demonstrates impeccable character and aligns with our company's values.</li><li>Submission of current transcript and at least one recommendation letter from a professor or advisor.</li></ul>Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Circ We believe an equitable and inclusive work environment and a diverse, empowered team are key to achieving our mission.
