You’ll develop hands-on skills in policy communications while gaining exposure to a wide range of climate and clean energy technology and policy issues.Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the editing and design of publications.</li><li>Collaborate with Digital Communications Manager to monitor <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://C2ES.org">C2ES.org</a> web content and recommend updates that reflect the latest climate news and policies.</li><li>Research and draft blog posts and talking points.</li><li>Support media engagement, including drafting press releases and publication rollout plans</li><li>Monitor climate and energy news, drafting a periodic news roundup for all staff.</li><li>Assist with C2ES social media efforts, including suggesting news stories to tweet, drafting tweets and posts on events and papers, suggesting images.</li><li>Assist with C2ES virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, public policy, marketing, environmental science, or related field. Those with equivalent experience in related fields are also encouraged to apply.</li><li>Familiarity with environmental and energy issues, climate change preferred.</li><li>Great writing, editing, and research skills.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Willingness to learn.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and on a team.</li><li>Knowledge of social media, graphic design, or website design is a plus.
