Let’s change the world together!<h2>Tasks</h2>Where you´ll contribute: <ul><li>Work with the Innovation and Development team to design, execute and analyse bioprocesses for developing bacterial protein extract products. </li><li>Operate and maintain bioprocessing equipment, including laboratory-scale bioreactors, as well as upstream and downstream equipment and utilities. </li><li>Execute equipment maintenance and calibration. Clean and sterilise equipment used in bioprocessing. Calibrate instruments and systems to ensure accuracy. </li><li>Support the monitoring of bioprocesses by performing in-process control during fermentation trials and downstream processes, including sampling and assisting with laboratory analytics (spectrometry, HPLC and enzymatic tests). </li><li>Adhere to and suggest improvements for existing SOPs and guidelines. </li><li>Ensure full process traceability by maintaining detailed trial records and logs</li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2>Educational Background:<ul><li>Master’s degree or Bachelor degree with at least two years of experience in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanic Engineering, or related fields.</li></ul>Professional Experience<ul><li>Hands-on experience of operating bioprocessing equipment such as laboratory-scale bioreactors, autoclaves, filtration systems and centrifuges as well as relevant analytics.</li><li>Basic knowledge of upstream (fermentation) and downstream (separation and inactivation) processes.</li><li>Candidates with a background in mechanics or a related field must demonstrate direct experience in biotech or agri-food manufacturing settings.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul><li>Analytical and creative thinking with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.</li><li>Strong motivation to contribute to sustainability and innovation in the food system.</li><li>You are fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.</li></ul><h2>Benefits</h2><ul><li>Hands-on ownership from day one; your ideas will shape how we execute our processes.</li><li>Permanent employment contract with compensation aligned with expertise, technical skills, and added value to the team and the company.</li><li>Public transportation passes.</li><li>Growth and development opportunities within the team and the company.</li><li>Supportive learning environment with professional guidance.</li><li>An inclusive culture where diverse voices are celebrated.</li></ul>At MicroHarvest, we value diversity and as such we do not discriminate based on race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group or class protected by applicable laws.
