Apex Clean Energy is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior HR Generalist to join Apex Clean Energy’s Human Resources team. This role blends both tactical execution and strategic partnership, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, talent management, data analytics, and performance management, while also supporting core HR operations including benefits and leave of absence (LOA) administration.The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded HR background, a recruiter’s mindset, and a process-oriented approach. This individual will play a key role in driving hiring excellence, strengthening performance practices, and enhancing the overall employee experience, while helping to build and refine scalable HR processes in a growing, mission-driven organization.Primary Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition<ul><li>Own the full-cycle recruitment process across departments, from intake through offer and onboarding</li><li>Partner closely with hiring managers to align on hiring needs, role requirements, and workforce planning</li><li>Proactively source and engage both active and passive candidates using diverse channels</li><li>Collaborate on compensation benchmarking and offer development aligned with internal equity and market data</li><li>Track and analyze recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, quality of hire) to drive continuous improvement</li><li>Partner with marketing or employer branding teams to enhance job advertisements, social content, and careers page visibility</li><li>Contribute to workforce planning and pipeline building for future talent needs</li><li>Stay current on talent trends and best practices to inform sourcing strategies and recruitment process improvements</li></ul>Talent Management &amp; Performance Management<ul><li>Support and evolve performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback practices</li><li>Partner with leaders to strengthen performance conversations, employee development, and accountability</li><li>Assist in identifying talent gaps and support succession planning and internal mobility efforts</li><li>Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance improvement plans and coaching strategies</li></ul>HR Operations, Benefits &amp; LOA<ul><li>Support benefits administration, including employee education, enrollment, and vendor coordination</li><li>Assist in managing and tracking leave of absence (LOA) processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA)</li><li>Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient HR operations across the employee lifecycle</li><li>Maintain data integrity within HRIS and ATS systems and support reporting needs</li></ul>Employee Experience &amp; Engagement<ul><li>Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, action planning, and recognition programs</li><li>Support onboarding to ensure a seamless and engaging new hire experience</li><li>Conduct stay and exit interviews to gather insights and inform retention strategies</li></ul>Process Improvement &amp; HR Strategy<ul><li>Identify opportunities to build, refine, and scale HR processes and policies to support organizational growth</li><li>Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) across HR functions</li><li>Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and improve HR effectiveness</li><li>Stay current on HR trends and best practices to continuously elevate programs and processes</li></ul>
