We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the product development of centrifugal pumps and related components</li><li>Prepare engineering drawings, 3D models, assemblies and relevant bill of material</li><li>Perform basic mechanical calculations</li><li>Support product improvement initiatives</li><li>Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions</li><li>Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams for project execution</li></ul>Must have competencies:<ul><li>Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials)</li><li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Understanding of engineering drawings including Tolerances and GD&amp;T</li><li>Sound mechanical calculation skills</li><li>Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a technical environment</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork skills</li></ul>Good to have competencies:<ul><li>Exposure to pump design or rotating equipment</li><li>Knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals related to pumps</li><li>Familiarity with manufacturing processes (casting, machining, fabrication).</li><li>Knowledge of engineering standards</li><li>Internship/project experience in mechanical design</li><li>Exposure to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Knowledge of CAD tools; experience with Creo will be an added advantage</li><li>Basic understanding of simulation/analysis tools (optional)</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering calculations</li><li>Ability to develop Python-based tools for design automation and optimization</li></ul>Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience:<ul><li>0-1 Year</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
