You'll be the last line of defense ensuring that nonconforming parts don't make it into a build or out to a customer site, and that known quality issues are actively screened before anything ships.</p></div><br><br><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><ul><div><h3>Incoming Parts Inspection</h3><li>Perform detailed incoming inspection of mechanical and electromechanical parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements</li><li>Verify dimensions, material, finish, and workmanship using standard hand measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges</li><li>Identify and document nonconformances; initiate NCRs and work with procurement and suppliers to disposition discrepant material</li><li>Maintain accurate receiving inspection records and support supplier quality tracking</li><h3>Spare &amp; Field Replacement Parts</h3><li>Inspect spare parts and break-fix components prior to shipment to field machines, ensuring they meet drawing requirements and are free of known defect conditions</li><li>Cross-reference historical quality issues and active quality alerts to screen outgoing field parts for previously identified failure modes</li><li>Package and label inspected parts in accordance with internal standards; maintain traceability documentation</li><h3>Quality Systems &amp; Continuous Improvement</h3><li>Maintain inspection records, nonconformance logs, and calibration documentation in support of the QMS</li><li>Flag recurring defect trends and contribute to root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts</li><li>Support the development and upkeep of quality alerts and lessons-learned documentation to prevent repeat escapes to the field</li></div></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings</li><li>Proficiency with standard hand measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related equipment</li><li>Experience inspecting both mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies</li><li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to document findings clearly and completely</li><li>Comfortable working in a production floor environment</li></ul><br><div><div><strong style="font-size:14px;">About the Company:</strong></div><div><span style="font-size:14px;">Velo, Velo3D, Sapphire and Intelligent Fusion are registered trademarks of Velo3D, Inc.
