To enable this high-performance every team member enjoys full autonomy over their location (we’re remote-first).</div>The Legal Counsel (f/m/x) will play a crucial role as an enabler to tackle new business opportunities, in ensuring legal compliance and mitigating legal and regulatory risks associated with the dynamic e-commerce landscape and our marketplace platform operations across Europe’s refurbished industries. This position requires a legal professional with a broad and varied portfolio — from contracts and data protection to regulatory compliance and dispute resolution — and work closely with teams across the company to keep us moving fast while staying on the right side of the law, enabling us to navigate complex legal challenges while supporting the company's growth objectives.WHO YOU ARE:<ul><li>3+ years of work experience in an in-house legal department of a company or in a law firm</li><li>Strong understanding of data privacy law, and experience in e-commerce, platform and technology regulations. Knowledge of Austrian corporate law is a plus.</li><li>A solid generalist background with broad experience across commercial law, compliance, and regulatory topics is a must.</li><li>Strongly motivated to tackle legal projects in other domains relevant to refurbed’s business where necessary</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English and German, both verbal and written. Additional language skills (e.g., in Italian) are a plus.</li><li>Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate legal risks and develop proactive solutions to mitigate them.</li><li>Proven project and stakeholder-management skills to master larger projects.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.</li><li>Degree in Austrian / German Law. (Experience in Austrian law is required).</li></ul>Location &amp; eligibility: This role is open to candidates based in Europe (including UK) only with a valid right to work.WHAT YOU’LL DO:<ul><li>Advise internal teams on legal risks and help them find practical, workable solutions</li><li>Support the business on new market entries, product launches, and strategic initiatives</li><li>Own and improve our legal processes, templates, and documentation</li><li>Ensure that our company is compliant with current and future e-commerce, technology and platform regulations</li><li>Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives. Provide legal guidance and support for strategic initiatives and business projects.</li><li>Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts with suppliers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
