The Position
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. This position will focus on animal nutrition but will also be involved in other areas of the business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, new business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Identify potential clients through research and networking
- Contact new clients to qualify potential business opportunity
- Drive new client development by targeting untapped markets and initiating relationships with prospective customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Present and demonstrate products/services to clients
- Apply a value selling approach by clearly aligning product benefits to client needs and demonstrating return on investment
- Qualify Mara’s products at customers formulations
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies and achieve goals
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in Animal Nutrition
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
This is a fully remote position. While candidates can live anywhere, preference will be given to candidates living in continental Europe.
