We are hiring immediately for International Transport Specialist role that will help us to power progress for our customers

Position Overview

This International Transport Specialist role is directly responsible for the coordination and execution of global fleet movements and project mobilisations across the AUSPAC region. The role requires deep technical expertise in international transport, including vendor and contract management, Request for quotation execution, documentation compliance, and intercompany logistics.

The successful candidate will ensure freight movements are aligned with project timelines and budgets, while managing relationships with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure smooth and compliant cross-border operations. Strong attention to detail, planning skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Beyond technical logistics, the role demands strong leadership, customer focus, and collaboration across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by prioritising safety, streamlining delivery processes, and improving service KPIs. They will maintain high standards in customer satisfaction, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

What you’ll do

  • Overseeing the movement of fleet, being handled by our nominated freight forwarders into and out of the AUSPAC region to ensure they are carried out as per our business requirements.
  • Issue RFQ’s to freight forwarders for fleet movement to and from overseas for projects and base business, nominate and work with the nominated freight forwarders to ensure delivery within demand time frame and budget.
  • Contract management and performance management of all contract hire transport as deemed necessary.
  • Ensuring that 3rd party providers are fully compliant with all Customer and Aggreko safety standards.
  • Ensuring optimized activity coordination for the overall benefit of the customer.
  • Collaborates and builds strong relationships with the sales & operations team to build cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers to strong teamwork, collaboration, in the delivery of all technical and logistical requirements
  • Support Logistics Planning Manager and wider logistics team as required
     

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a international transport role
  • PC literary in a Microsoft environment and ERP system
  • Proven Customer focus with a strong sense of urgency for creative solutions
  • Proven acute attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced stressful environment
  • Skilled at multi-tasking
