Responsibilities / Tasks
Gather information by analyzing what a product lifecycle will look like related to spending and processes.
Consider new production technologies while thinking creatively to consider new, different ways for the product to be created and distributed to improve margin.
Lead workshops across multiple departments to lower costs, improve margins and support make/buy decisions.
Evaluate ideas for cost then present cost break down and value discoveries that will benefit the company.
Utilize knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to identify alternative cost optimized production processes.
Present proposals on saving potential along with timelines, financial projections, drawings, and risks.
Build up knowledge on production competence of main suppliers.
Interfacing with PLM environment (Teamcenter), NX CAD, and SAP.
Implement cost optimized design changes utilizing global tools and processes including FEA analysis.
Monitor and report on value initiatives and compare them with proposed expectations.
Global exposure and work in multi-national environment.
Good communication skills, positive attitude, and team player.
Comfortable working with livestock.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering degree)
Experience in 3D CAD modelling experience considered
Experience in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with SAP preferred
1-10 years engineering experience
Experience in Siemens Teamcenter Product Cost Management software is beneficial
Strong desire to learn
Good work ethic
Strong team player
Well-developed communication skills both written and oral
German language skills are beneficial
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,800 - $88,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
