The R&amp;D Engineer will be involved in the design, development, testing, characterization, and scaling of advanced electrolyzer components. The right candidate for the R&amp;D Engineer II position will have a strong understanding of electrochemical principles, electrochemical cell testing, electrolyser performance and durability optimization, devices, ion exchange membranes, and electrodes. The individual will have a diverse and well-rounded technical and entrepreneurial skill-set. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, highly motivated team with significant potential for growth and career development. The position also offers the opportunity to begin a career in the fast-expanding lithium-ion battery sector.  Salary range for this position will be $70- $100k depending on experience and skills.  Required Education, Skills and Experience <ul><li>BSc in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science/engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields. </li></ul><ul><li>3 or more years of laboratory or industrial experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in AC and DC electrochemical testing methods including cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, potentiostatic and galvanostatic testing and durability testing of electrochemical components. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of electrochemistry, electrochemical processes, and/or water treatment is considered an advantage. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of electrolyzer/fuel cell testing and optimization toward performance and durability improvement </li></ul><ul><li>Analyze key components performances and determine their relationship with materials and process parameters </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving and communications skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and passionate about learning. </li></ul><ul><li>Willing to be hands-on. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to interact with a wide range of scientists and engineers. </li></ul><ul><li>Be a registered professional with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or have the ability to readily become one. </li></ul>  Desirable Characteristics <ul><li>Person of high integrity and credibility. </li></ul><ul><li>Proactive, hands-on and able to take direction independently. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Self-motivated, flexible and passionate about learning. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability and desire to contribute to and work with a multidisciplinary team. </li></ul><ul><li>Work well under pressure. </li></ul> Why Mangrove?At Mangrove Lithium, our people are at the core of our groundbreaking technology.
