Ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, proactive in problem solving and able to wear many hats.Core Responsibilities:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Coat and calender Coreshell’s 60Ah-scale electrode rolls following strict specifications. Must be willing to do late shifts (~12pm to 8pm) once or twice a week, depending on need.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Operate complex electrode fabrication machinery on the Pilot Line. Must be comfortable performing some manual tasks such as lifting weights no heavier than 25kg.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Perform routine quality control tests on fabricated electrodes.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Characterize electrode features and defects using materials analytical techniques such as SEM/EDX, adhesion testing, resistance measurements, etc.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Design and perform experiments to define optimal process parameters for cell performance and processing capabilities.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Clean equipment and tools after electrode production runs in a timely manner.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Record parameters used and observed in electrode fabrication processes in runsheets.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Manage inventory of manufacturing consumables.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Follow and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Perform short, manual tasks moving electrode rolls and consumables between machines and storage.</li></ul>Required Qualifications and Experience:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">B.S. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or similarly relevant field.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">2+ years of experience in manufacturing or battery industry</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Background in production or wet lab work involving electrode fabrication (mixing, coating or calendering) is required.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Background in fabrication of lithium-ion batteries is a plus.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Familiarity with chemistry lab safety protocols. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe, tidy, and organized work areas.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Previous experience performing electrical tests, as well as chemistry and materials analytical instruments, is preferred.</li></ul>Location &amp; Benefits: San Leandro, CA.
